Affectionately known as “Jazz at the Wood”, the talented students of Kenwood Academy Jazz Band are a part of this most vibrant landscape of musicians who represent a long-standing tradition of excellence. Kenwood Academy Jazz Band provides an open door for students who want to learn about jazz music in an environment that also offers the chance to develop life-long skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, organization and presentation skills through intensive musical training.  The focus is on education and the outcome is an artistic masterpiece. In addition to outstanding contest ratings, some the students have been identified among the best players throughout the nation.
